Notice for Android 7.0 and Above Users:

The active app monitoring feature has been disabled on devices running Android 7.0 and later due to significant changes in the operating system. The functionality previously provided by TrafficStats has been supplanted by NetworkStatsManager, which unfortunately does not refresh quickly enough to support real-time app monitoring, as it is primarily designed for historical data analysis.
